CBC invests in Switzerland's Konso
SWITZERLAND-- Research and consulting firm CBC has taken a 34% stake in consumer and social researcher Konso.
Charles Merkle, CEO of CBC, said the two firms would be working together closely on social, communications and media research for private and public sector clients.
Konso, based in Basel and founded in 1961, will continue to be led by its existing managers Hans-Ruedi Hertig and Joel Weill, with Ralph Weill also remaining as board chairman.
CBC was founded in China in 1995, and in 2007 the Chinese business was merged into CBC Switzerland. It is now headquartered in Bern and listed on the Bern stock exchange, with offices in China and India and a subsidiary in Japan.
