'No deal' to buy Comcon, says Synovate representative

RUSSIA— A Synovate spokesman has told Research there has been “no deal at this point” to buy Moscow-based research agency Comcon, following reports in the Russian media.

Kommersant claimed last week that Synovate was conducting due diligence on a deal, but Synovate’s spokesman stressed “no deal has taken place”.

The Russian firm is headed by director general Elena Koneva (pictured) and has run the TGI survey in the country for the past 15 years.

Koneva could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.
