Board reshuffle for TNS in ALM region

Merger with RI triggers changes in Asia Pac, Lat Am, Middle East and Africa

HONG KONG-- TNS has unveiled a new regional board line-up for its Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa (ALM) region, following its merger with Research International.

Jamie Hall, who previously headed up Asia and Latin America, becomes chief executive for the whole region.

Heather Payne, previously Research International's CEO in Asia Pacific, becomes regional director for Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan, replacing David Richardson, who has moved to a lead global client role. Payne will also be responsible for the firm's combined Hong Kong and Singapore operations, including its International Research Centre, which coordinates multi-country projects in the region.

Stephen Jenke continues with his responsibilities for the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam, as well as taking responsibility for operations and IT across ALM.

Wander Meijer and Steve Hamilton-Clark continue to lead the Latin America and Middle East & North Africa regions respectively, with operations in Africa, India and Oceania headed by Chris Riquier, who was formerly managing director in Oceania.

Clive Little remains in charge of the company's sectors and areas of expertise.

James Fergusson takes on a specific remit for the firm's emerging market strategy and associated business development, reporting directly to Jamie Hall.

Paul Durant, formerly regional finance director for Asia Pacific, becomes regional chief financial officer for ALM. Steve Gardner will serve as regional finance director for various specific geographical areas.

Michelle Griffin retains her regional responsibility for people and culture, supported by Alice Lee.

Catherine Connolly, formerly Research International's group HR director, becomes global head of HR for the merged business.

Leaving the board to take on “senior consulting roles” are John Smurthwaite, formerly chairman for the ALM region, and Stuart Campbell-Morris, formerly regional director for the Middle East, Africa and India, who will continue as chairman of TNS's businesses in the Middle East and South Africa.
