Arbitron fills two new executive roles
US-- Radio ratings firm Arbitron has appointed Alton Adams as chief marketing officer and Robert Henrick as executive vice president, customer solutions, filling two of three new executive positions created last month.
Adams, 51, will be responsible for developing cross-media measurement tools using the firm's Portable People Meter (PPM) system, as well as directing marketing efforts. He was previously a managing partner with Accenture and also served as president of Experian Database Solutions.
Henrick, 54, takes charge of survey research methods and product management, as well as delivering new and enhanced services. He most recently served as a programme manager in the John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, working on communications technology for national security.
CEO Michael Skarzynski said: “Alton and Bob will lead the teams at Arbitron that are enhancing current serices for our core radio customers, identifying the best growth opportunities and moving the company into new markets, both in the United States as well as in international markets.”
The appointments are the latest in a string of changes made by CEO Michael Skarzynski, who has moved the firm's headquarters from New York to Columbia, Maryland, axed 10% of the company's workforce and made some senior roles redundant.
The firm is still looking for an EVP of strategy and business development, to take charge of business partnerships, joint ventures and acquisitions, and expects to make an announcement soon.
