Random House sets up readers’ panel

Data analytics UK

UK — The Random House Group has launched an online consumer panel for direct access to readers.

Bookmarks is Random House’s first online consumer insight panel and readers will be invited to sign up and share their views on wide ranging topics about its publications in exchange for exclusive sneak previews, free books and entry into prize draws via surveys, polls and discussions.

In addition, there will also be regular face-to-face discussion groups, enabling Random House staff to speak directly to consumers.

Bookmarks has been set up with community panel experts Vision Critical for an initial nine-month pilot period and will complement Random House’s existing consumer insight activity and will be managed by consumer insight manager Laura Bijelic.

Random House head of consumer insight Louise Vinter (pictured) said: “Panel members will be recruited by applying our reader segmentation framework and will help to grow our knowledge about these readers so that we can best respond to their needs with our publishing.”
