Good Data scores $2.5m VC funding

US— San Francisco-based analytics start-up Good Data has secured $2.5m in venture capital funding to support the commercial launch of its business intelligence platform.

The firm has added Andreessen Horowitz to its list of venture investors, alongside General Catalyst Partners and O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures.

Good Data’s technology aims to provide an easy way for companies to analyse customer data from all parts of their businesses.

Tim O’Reilly (pictured) of O’Reilly Media has joined Good Data’s board of directors as part of the deal. He said: “There are a million cool analytics and visualisation technologies out there to play with, but if you want to gain immediate insight out of your data, you have to try Good Data.”
