All eyes on Tobii as firm signs global agreement with Ipsos

Eye tracking firm follows up Red Dot Square win with new research deal

SWEDEN-- Eye tracking technology firm Tobii has signed a global agreement to integrate its hardware and software into a range of Ipsos research solutions.

The research agency has first applied the technology to its Pack Evolution package testing tool and studies are already underway for FMCG companies in a number of European countries, the US, Brazil, Mexico and China.

Abby Smith, vice president of Ipsos Marketing's global product centre, said she expects to see “strong growth over the next three years” in the use of eye tracking.

For Pack Evolution in particular she said: “It adds a critical dimension… as it complements our cognitive package testing experience with measurable behavioural input.”

The Ipsos agreement marks another big win for Tobii following last year's deal to supply 50 eye-trackers to retail research firm Red Dot Square. At the time, it was the single biggest order the company had handled.
