Cegedim buys pharma intelligence firm Nomi

FRANCE— CRM company Cegedim has acquired the Nomi Group, which provides information and intelligence services to the pharmaceutical industry, from its parent company Bisnode.

The Nomi Group provides databases of healthcare professionals, customer relationship management, market research and prescription studies to pharma companies in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. It generated revenue of around 60 million Swedish Krona (£4.7m) in 2008.

Nomi’s Sabine Lindstrom will continue to manage market research, while regional managing director Peter Norrgard becomes Nordic regional director for the newly combined company’s CRM activities.

Cegedim Dendrite CEO Laurent Labrune said Nomi’s local expertise and market share in the Nordic region would help the company offer a more complete range of services.
