SWEDEN – Private equity investment company Nordic Capital has bought insights data tech company Cint for an undisclosed amount.
Nordic Capital has bought Cint from a large shareholder group that includes Prime Ventures, Creandum, Cipio Partners, the founder, and a group of individual investors and employees.
Cint’s CEO Morten Strand said: “Nordic Capital’s experience of successfully developing and growing technology businesses, in cooperation with management and employees, suits us very well and gives us the opportunity to continue our positive development.
“In the age of accelerating digital transformation in consumer insights and behaviour, we will together continue to be a leader in technology innovation for the market research industry.”
Cint’s primary product is OpinionHUB, a B2B exchange for seeking and collecting insights which it launched in 2005. The platform connects market research firms that need to access panellists for consumer research with the consumer panel-owning companies.
Its headquarters are in Stockholm, Sweden and it has 13 offices in major cities across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific employing more than 140 people.
The investment is subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
